Medina Electric Cooperative, Inc presented a check for $2500 to Medina Healthcare System from its Community Empowerment Program. The grant will be used to purchase new exercise equipment for the Rehabilitation Department. 

“We are so grateful to Medina Electric’s Board of Directors for making these grants available to facilities such as our hospital.  We are able to match this grant dollar for dollar, thanks to donations to our Medina Healthcare Fund from memorials and events such as the recent Boots & Bottles fundraiser.  We are fortunate to live in a supportive community that works together to provide quality care close to home.”  Simons added that the funds will be used to purchase a new recumbent bicycle that will benefit physical therapy patients.
